On May 15, 2013 Chevron tried to start work in Ministrówce Miączyn district in the municipality of Zamosc. Heavy trucks with equipment entered on a road limited to 5 tons. Drivers do not have the required permits to drive on road. Local residents did not allow the work to start and blocked access to the area leased by Chevron. They called the police from the police station in the town of Miączynie. After 10 hours of conflict the Mayor has not taken any action or decision to resolve this crisis. Representatives of Chevron asked by residents to provide important decision concession authorizing the commencement of work but they did not provide the documents. The Mayor unleashed the police department to intervene on its residents. Finally, machines and trucks remained until morning.
